Exmore Diner

A great, non-fast food option just off 13 if you are running from OBX back to the Philadelphia area. Tried today after years of just suffering through crowded fast food chains. Food was good, comfort food. Place was worn but clean. For lunch on a Saturday, was packed throughout our visit. As people got up, another group took their seats. Our family at at the counter with our little having the dog with fries and the rest of us breakfast. Bacon and cheese omelet was real eggs, at least five strips of bacon, and cheese options included cheddar and Swiss. Accepts credit cards.

This place was packed when we arrived, which we reasoned was a good sign. Unsurprisingly it took a little while to take our order, but service was quick after that and our breakfasts were excellent.

Diner food at good prices. Staff is friendly. It was like going to Mayberry (Andy Griffin Show).

This is a great, little, old school diner with definite charm. The food was AMAZING and so was the service! We had the BLT, Grilled Chesse and Crabcake sandwiches for dinner. We then had the banana cream pie and 2 chocolate shakes to go, for dessert. SIMPLY DELICIOUS.Would recommend to stop in anytime you're in the area! It's a unique dining experience and well worth the time.

Dive diner serving great food at great prices. I liked the cheese burger and coleslaw but there was more to the place. I would eat there again

they're pretty good depending on when you go and what you get. I do not recommend the crabcake as they do not pick out the shells. The macaroni and cheese has so much sugar in it it might as well be a desert. However, their breakfast selections are quite delicious. They also make a pretty mean Burger. Given the size of the place, you can expect it to be cramped. Especially at lunch and dinner.

Reminded me of a place I used to eat as a kid. Good simple food.

Amazing, cute home town restaurant.

We have driven by lots of times, but never stopped. My husband and I went in for dinner. It is a small, cozy 50s style diner, and it is really busy! Turn around is fast! Waitress was super friendly and extremely helpful! We ordered fried string beans, peas & dumplings, vegetable soup, cheeseburger and a breaded chicken sandwich. Food was hot and delicious!

Excellent food for reasonable prices. Swelling toads and crab cake recommendable. Very authentic.

Comfort food in a "down homey" old school metal dining car. Service is good. Most food items are tasty and price is right. Just a short distance of US 13 and worth an excursion through Exmore, VA

Adorable place with great food. Might have to wait awhile for one of the six booths others you have to sit at the counter. Some locals seemed annoyed non locals were invading there local spot but staff was friendly.

Definitely a gem right off the beaten path! Stopped here for a quick breakfast on our travels back home from being on vacation. Food is so fresh and delicious and the environment had that homey feeling. Staff was super sweet and very attentive. On the smaller side but quick turnover! Will definitely be going back on our way back through next year!!

Just one of the few old school diners left. Nothing fancy, basic food, but it's not the food that makes the Exmore a favorite - it's the venue and the people that make this place special.

Retro look was more of a feast than the food served here.

Awesome seafood diner vibes! I love the drive down the DelMarVa peninsula headed to the Chesepeake Bay Bridge and stopping at the Exmore Diner along the way. Scallops, fried clams and broccoli cheese puffs, yum!

I dont know of any other diner I like more. The food here is perfect if you're looking for that small town local breakfast spot. Very reasonably priced. Probably one of the most successful restaurants on the "eastern shore of Virginia"
